But mind you, 78% of Facebook users all over the world and 69% of USA users do not know how to disable or delete a Facebook account. Though a simple task, it is a security procedure. And here we're talking about disabling or deleting our own Facebook account and not anybody else's. So today I'm going to guide you on how to delete a Facebook account easily.
How To Delete A Facebook Account
Please follow this STEP BY STEP guide to have an easy understanding.
- Log into your Facebook account.
- On the upper right corner, you'll find a drop down list adjacent to home just as shown in the picture below.

- Click on account settings. You'll be redirected to general account settings.
- On the left hand side, you'll observe multiple function links. One of them would be 'Security'. Click on it.
- On the new redirected page, at the bottom, you'll notice a blue-ed link 'DEACTIVATE ACCOUNT'. Well, thats it! Click on it and you will be asked to enter your password and confirm.
- After confirming, in sometime, your Facebook account will be deactivated. Your Profile will not be visible anymore to others. However, one cannot permanently delete or disable a Facebook account. That is why its mentioned as 'DEACTIVATE'.
Many people would deactivate their Facebook accounts but after a while, Regret! Hey! There ain't no need! You can reactivate your account. Just log into Facebook and your account and profile are public again.
